Dead Can Dance Returns with New Single “Our Day Will Come”
Dead Can Dance have released their new single “Our Day Will Come” on March 20, 2026.
The track marks the first installment in a new monthly release series scheduled to run throughout 2026. Each release will be accompanied by a digital PDF featuring original artwork and lyrics.
Alongside the new single, the band has announced they will no longer support streaming platforms. Referencing their official statement, they explain:
‘We have decided to no longer support streaming platforms that continue to exploit artists and promote AI generated music. In future we will sell our music directly to the public via Bandcamp, a platform that continues to support independent artists and which has commendably banned all forms of AI generated music, a technology that threatens the very life and soul of our profession.’
Future releases will be made available exclusively via Bandcamp through their own Holy Tongue Records label.
In addition, 50% of the proceeds from “Our Day Will Come” will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians, supporting medical care, food, and nutritional aid for Palestinian communities.
Dead Can Dance – Biography
Originally formed in 1981 in Australia by Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard, Dead Can Dance established a singular sonic identity by integrating medieval and Renaissance European music with spiritual and ritualistic elements. During their time with 4AD, they released a series of influential works that left a lasting impact across gothic, ambient, and world music scenes.
“The Host of Seraphim,” from The Serpent's Egg, gained wider recognition after its use in the ending of The Mist, underscoring the film’s devastating and unforgettable conclusion.
