Nagoya’s Depressive / Blackgaze Band Self Destruction in Your Dreams Release MV for Hitoribocchi no Shinju (“Lonely Double Suicide”), from Debut Album “Shousou”

Nagoya-based depressive/blackgaze band Self Destruction in Your Dreams have unveiled the music video for “Hitoribocchi no Shinju” (“Lonely Double Suicide”), taken from their debut album “Shousou.”

The track opens with heavy shoegaze textures featuring nonono’s clean vocals, before cascading into a full-throttle section driven by blast beats and screams. It stands out on the album for its striking contrast between beauty and darkness. The music video, rendered in cold blue tones, intercuts scenes of the band marching with somber expressions and live footage, underscoring the song’s sense of desolation. A touch of unexpected humor in the closing moments adds an additional point of interest.

It has also been announced that Self Destruction in Your Dreams will disband at the end of March 2026. Their final performance is scheduled for Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Nishi-Yokohama EL PUENTE in Kanagawa, presented as an acoustic solo set by A. Aoki.
