Glixen Share KEXP Live Session — Perform “Unwind” and Three More Songs, Discuss Their Next Release
Glixen have shared a new live session recorded for KEXP.
Formed in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2020, the shoegaze band took its name from a song by Lovesliescrushing and has built a reputation for blending crushing walls of distortion with lush, melodic songwriting inspired by My Bloody Valentine, Hum, and Deftones. Following the release of the EPs “She Only Said” (2023) and “Quiet Pleasures” (2025), the band continued its upward trajectory with an appearance at Coachella 2025.
The session features four songs: “All Tied Up,” “Medicine Bow,” “Unwind,” and “Lick The Star.” The accompanying interview also finds the band discussing how Glixen came together, some of the artists they admire, and what they're envisioning for their next release.
Although their planned Japan tour in March 2026 was ultimately canceled, this session offers an exciting glimpse of the band's live performance for fans hoping to see them return in the future.
