Chelsea Wolfe Releases “Death is Not the End” and “The Dark” — Shares New Video and Announces World Tour
Chelsea Wolfe has released two new songs, “Death is Not the End” and “The Dark,” alongside the official music video for “Death is Not the End.” The tracks serve as the first glimpse into the world of her forthcoming album.
Chelsea Wolfe has built a singular artistic identity by moving fluidly between doom metal, folk, industrial, electronic music, and darkwave. Over the years, she has collaborated with artists including Chino Moreno (Deftones), Xiu Xiu, and Converge, contributed music to Game of Thrones, and co-composed the score for A24’s horror film X alongside Tyler Bates.
“Death is Not the End” unfolds from a delicate folk-inspired opening into waves of massive, submerged-sounding guitars. As reflected in the recurring lines “Death is not the end” and “I’ll see you again,” the song views death not as a final destination but as part of a larger cycle. Amid Wolfe’s signature blend of darkness and beauty, the track also carries a quiet sense of hope.
The accompanying music video was filmed at Mono Lake in California. Featuring Wolfe in a flowing dress against vast expanses of water, the visuals bring the song’s central theme to life, portraying death as a return to the ocean.
Wolfe has also announced an upcoming world tour. A.A. Williams will join the European dates, while Jonathan Hultén will support the North American run.
