From the Shadow of the Throne Spreading to Infinity unveil the music video for “Lamentation I”, featuring guest vocals from NiiK of Pale
Based in Osaka, the blackened post-metal band From the Shadow of the Throne Spreading to Infinity has unveiled the music video for “Lamentation I”, a track from their debut album “Across the Abyss of Unseen Realms, To the Edge of Eternity”, due out on May 22, 2026.
Featuring NiiK of the post-black metal band Pale, the song is marked by a dense, weighty soundscape where piercing screams intertwine with luminous clean vocals.
The visual portrays NiiK writhing violently in darkness, evoking a pilgrim bound to an unending and punishing journey. In contrast, the band’s performance scenes deliberately unfold behind walls of amplifiers and cabinets—a continuation of their live performance aesthetic. The deliberate separation between these two realms suggests a core principle: the members function not as visible performers, but as faceless apparatuses channeling the sound.
Notably, From the Shadow of the Throne Spreading to Infinity and NiiK previously shared the stage three years ago, a connection that eventually led to NiiK joining Pale. Expectations are now growing for the two acts to reunite on stage once again.
