REZN announce new album "Cycles in the Infinite Dream"—New single “Cloudfall” explores a loop between nightmare and awakening
Chicago-based psychedelic doom REZN have unveiled the music video for “Cloudfall,” alongside the announcement of their sixth full-length, “Cycles in the Infinite Dream,” set for release on July 24 via Sargent House.
Continuing their exploration of polarity, the band seamlessly merges seismic doom-laden riffs with shimmering, ethereal melodies rooted in psychedelia and shoegaze. The result unfolds within a liminal space between dream and waking states—an approach that aligns with the album’s central concept of navigating the subconscious and its recursive, often disorienting cycles.
The lead single “Cloudfall” blurs the boundary between dream and reality, as ethereal lap steel guitar tones drift through heavy riff work. The accompanying video depicts the anguish of being trapped in a loop of sleep paralysis, serving as a sonic and visual embodiment of the album’s title.
