From the Shadow of the Throne Spreading to Infinity Unveils Lead Single “Lamentation II” from Debut Album
Osaka-based blackened post-metal band From the Shadow of the Throne Spreading to Infinity has released the lead single “Lamentation II” from their upcoming debut album Across the Abyss of Unseen Realms, To the Edge of Eternity, out on May 22, 2026.
The album’s mixing is by Tim De Gieter (ex-Amenra) and mastering by Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna), forming a top-tier team in the post-metal scene. Anchored by ultra-heavy guitars, it features mid-tempo compositions with riffs that pierce and crawl across the sonic landscape, intertwining organically as they pull listeners into a profound abyss of darkness.
On stage, the band performs behind walls of stacked amplifiers, concealing themselves to strip away visual cues and confront the audience directly with sheer sonic force, creating a near-supernatural experience.
They will open for Svalbard, the UK post-hardcore band, on April 4 at CONPASS in Osaka. Fans of blackened post-metal and immersive live performances should check this out.
