Youth Valley Releases New Music Video “cerberus” — Exploring Darker Territory on 2nd Album
Athens-based post-punk/shoegaze band Youth Valley has released the music video for their new single “cerberus.” The track serves as the lead single from their forthcoming second album, As Passive Aggressive As It Gets, due in 2026.
Drawing inspiration from post-punk and new wave icons such as The Cure, The Smiths, and DIIV, Youth Valley reinterprets these influences through a contemporary shoegaze lens. “cerberus” continues the band’s signature style while expanding into a more dramatic, high-energy arrangement. The track fuses post-punk drive with ethereal shoegaze walls of sound, vividly expressing emotions of powerlessness, inner conflict, and longing for release.
Having shared the stage with artists including Bauhaus, Lebanon Hanover, VNV Nation, Sad Lovers And Giants, and Sylvaine, Youth Valley takes a step into darker territory on their upcoming album.
Fans of shoegaze, as well as goth and post-punk listeners, should check this out.
