Glixen Announces First Japan Tour｜Five Shows Across Nagoya, Osaka, Kyoto & Tokyo

The Phoenix, Arizona–based shoegaze band Glixen is set to make their first visit to Japan, with five shows scheduled from Thursday, March 12 to Monday, March 16, 2026, in Nagoya, Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo (Shinjuku and Shindaita).

Formed in 2020, Glixen quickly gained recognition, performing at SXSW and Coachella and sharing the stage with DIIV, Nothing, Turnover, and Glare. Named after a track by Lovesliescrushing, the band blends noise-laden heaviness with sensual melodies. Drawing from My Bloody Valentine and the 2020s Nu-Gaze movement, they have developed a distinct sound that combines desert-like desolation with gothic decadence. Their 2025 second EP, Quiet Pleasures, produced by Sonny DiPerri (My Bloody Valentine, DIIV, Nine Inch Nails), has been praised for its darker, more solid sound, positioning Glixen as a rising force in the new generation of shoegaze.

The band consists of Aislinn Ritchie (Vo/Gt), Esteban Santana (Gt), Sonia Garcia (Ba), and Keire Johnson (Dr). Fans may recognize their appreciation for Japanese pop culture, including anime and manga; they previously expressed a desire to visit Japan, and this tour serves as a long-awaited response. Audiences will have the opportunity to experience the cutting edge of the new-generation shoegaze scene firsthand.
