Wisp, a Los Angeles–based shoegaze artist, will make her first appearance in Japan on January 19, 2026, at Shibuya WWW X.
Wisp first drew widespread attention after posting her debut single “Your Face” on TikTok—a track recorded using Apple earbuds as a makeshift microphone and mixed entirely on her phone. The song reportedly surpassed one million streams on Spotify in under a month, accelerating her rise beyond social media platforms. She subsequently signed with Interscope Records, home to artists such as Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga, and released her debut album “If Not Winter” on August 1, 2025.
Her sound blends heavy, melancholic textures reminiscent of Whirr and Deftones with soft, fleeting vocal melodies that recall Cocteau Twins and Slowdive.
