NGHTCRWLR Unveils New “Madhouse” MV—Ex-Whirr Genius Creates a Violent and Mad Soundscape

New York–based industrial artist NGHTCRWLR has released the music video for “Madhouse”, a track from their upcoming second album OZ, set for release on October 24, 2025.

NGHTCRWLR is a project led by Kristina Esfandiari, the former vocalist of Whirr and current lead singer of King Woman. The project pursues experimental sounds that transcend genre boundaries, grounded in noise and industrial music. The new track “Madhouse” boldly fuses gothic rock, shoegaze, industrial, and drum’n’bass, plunging listeners into a world of violence and madness. Amid this striking sonic landscape, Esfandiari’s vocals masterfully convey both repression and release, driving the narrative with powerful presence. She also stars in the music video, which unfolds a decadent, noir-inspired story; its finale, featuring a reverse-time sequence, evokes Christopher Nolan and leaves a profound impact on the viewer’s perception.
